Wild West Fairytale: Cowboy boots, country class and pink champagne!
When Steve Crowley first introduced himself to Kelli, he really left an impression...by forgetting his own name! It’s safe to say, there was an undeniable chemistry from day one! The truest of friendships was quickly forged and, as naturally as a wildflower blooms, so did the love of a cowboy and cowgirl; kindred old souls and wild spirits in a modern world.
With their dreams hitched together, Steve and Kelli have been inseparable ever since, working horses and cows and caring for the 67 acre spread that makes up their Crowley Ranch, located in Molalla, OR.
Though the romance of a western ranching life is often times disguised in thick mud, a whole lot of sweat, and all the other less-than-glamorous “war paints” (mostly a mixture of both fresh and “recycled” hay), Steve and Kelli never quit on each other nor their dream of living out a western way of life rich in values, substance and soul-saving peace.
Their July 2018 wedding day was nothing short of a perfect reflection of their true and natural love. Under the boughs of an old oak grove on the very ranch that first brought them together, the ranch they now own and operate side by side each day, Steve and Kelli traded work clothes for a little lace, champagne silk and clean boots to promise forever before an audience of dear friends, beloved family and an uninterrupted sunset view.
A “classy country” feel was pulled off effortlessly, offering guests an easy feeling evening set to only to the best country tunes, complimented by live performances from the bride’s sister and filled up with a hearty, authentic chuck wagon cookout.
From the hand-painted tipi “bridal suite”, to the galvanized tin milk pitcher centerpieces, the tiny glass cowboy boots filled with blush pink candies (a perfect match to Kelli’s wedding boots) to the mason jar favors etched with the couple’s cattle brand, every detail accented the day and their story without flaw; even the sweeping hillside gleamed like a glass of champagne in a sunset fit for any cowboy couple to ride away into.
Maybe the Wild West is only a legend now, but for Steve and Kelli, it’s spirit lives and breathes in the life and love of a timeless cowboy fairy tale.
